Working collaboratively with administrators, ESOL teams, and general educators in 20+ ESOL sites we are currently providing professional learning and support to staff and teachers. We are aldminister informal teacher observations throughout the course of coaching cycles to improve ESOL programming at the school level.
We facilitated team and staff meetings to enhance knowledge of best ESOL instructional practices .We sequenced appropriate materials and resources aligned to content area curricula. We also assessed and provided relevant and timely data-based feedback on achievement and developmental needs to students and colleagues.
During this case study we worked within a school where students remained in their native communities throughout Cairo, EG. We had to utilize a variety of teaching strategies to support English development. We focused on teaching letter recognition, phonics, and phonological awareness to accelerate learning.
